A discipline of engineering that applies the principles of physics and materials science in the manufacture of road sweepers. You will be required to develop the skills to become a qualified Assembly Fitter.
You need to be able to work under your own supervision, show drive and motivation and a 'can-do' attitude to your work and studies.
The requirement of being self-motivated with an interest in learning new skills is essential with a determination to achieve goals set both within the workplace and at college.
Our apprenticeships offer a solid introduction to a career within the Manufacture Engineering industry. We offer the opportunity for you to gain core engineering skills and gain exposure to different aspects of engineering.
We are committed to making your apprenticeship a success, and in return, we expect you to demonstrate the same level of commitment and the highest level of performance in your work tasks and studies. In addition you will be given the opportunity of gaining a recognised qualification within your chosen field which will guarantee you a worthwhile and rewarding career.
GCSE's or equivalent, including Maths, Science and English grade C or above are an essential requirement of the rols.
Successful candidates will need to be available to start their training from August 2012. Previous apprentices have progressed to degree level and taken on management roles within the Company. This is a career route which will allow you to earn money whilst you study and gain qualifications.
In return we offer competitive salaries, good benefits (25 days holiday, profit related bonus, pension and life assurance) with a busy and friendly working environment.
