Introducing the VT551 slimline urban sweeper designed to work in congested urban and residential streets. Built for high performance and carried on a range of 7,500kg - 10.000 kg GVM chassis (from 2950mm wheelbase) the VT551 slim line truck mounted sweeper negotiates confined spaces with ease, without compromising payload.

The 5.25m³ stainless steel hopper incorporates a 825 litre tank and the on-board water is positioned over the rear wheels, eliminating weight transfer between axles during operation, allowing use of front axle payload and safer all-round handling.

The heavy-duty 800mm diameter Wearsaf® fan is driven by a load-sensing pump that automatically adjusts fan speed to deliver airflow and suction pressure to match sweeping demands, ensuring top performance with minimum noise emissions and fuel consumption.

Powerful auxiliary engine for efficient and lowest lifecycle costs:

A powerful 3-litre 274Nm torque VM auxiliary engine and hydraulically driven fan, giving maximum suction independent of chassis requirements. No added gearboxes or intrusions into the chassis, ensures improved efficiency, lower fuel consumption and operating costs.

No HGV licence required:

Drivers with a European C1 Class driving licence (or similar) can drive the VT551, as the weight restrictions that require a HGV drivers licence do not apply.
