VT801

Heavy duty cleaning power house

The VT801 truck mounted sweeper is the power house sweeper in the Johnston V Range.

Large payload, large water capacity and mounted on 16 - 18T chassis, the VT801 is designed to deal with specialist cleansing in a range of environments from industrial construction projects, tunnels, quarries, docks and airports.

Available in dual or single sweep configuration, the maximum 3.6m swept path ensures superb coverage per hour - and with a 8m³ capacity hopper, water system and fuel tank, the V Range is designed to stay at work for longer.

The twin-engine VT801 truck mounted sweeper is powered by a dedicated high power auxiliary engine, resulting in reduced emissions.

Robust Construction

Mounted to the sub frame, the hydraulically operated sweeping system is designed to prolong brush life and reduce the cost of ownership.

Both channel and wide-sweep brush installations feature quick-change mechanisms which reduce downtime between changeovers.

All twin-engine VT Range sweepers are powered by a dedicated high performance auxiliary engine.

With a heavy-duty, corrosion-resistant stainless steel body, the Johnston VT801 is robust and built for unrivalled durability.

In-Cab Controls

All sweeping operations are controlled from the master module inside the cab, while all critical systems controls - including the master circuit breaker plus the valves and auxiliary equipment for the pneumatic, hydraulic and water systems - are housed in an easily accessible purpose-built, dust and weatherproof locker.

The VT801, in common with all V Range products, comes with waterproof IP67 automotive electrical connectors to enhance reliability.

Advanced Air Filter Design

Through years of experience in sweeper design, Johnston have developed a unique system which creates a cyclone effect within the hopper for efficient filtering of debris and dust particles prior to discharge to atmosphere through mesh filter screens.

This unique design is a now a standard feature of all Johnston V Range sweepers.

The rear discharge chute directs loads away from the rear of the vehicle, minimising the risk of damage to lamps and other components.

The standard load de-watering system allows draining of water from the waste volume.

Emissions

The Johnston VT801 in common with all the V Range is also the first European-manufactured machine to achieve full PM10 test compliance in stringent air quality tests on whole vehicle emissions.

Water Purging System

The VT801 features as standard Johnston's Pressadrain Water Purging System that enables the easy removal of water from the sweeper systems in freezing conditions.

Options

Littasnatch: Specially developed to pick up light litter from pavements and hedgerows. With a lightweight, easy to operate flexible hose and nozzle with a 7 metre reach.

Supawash: A high pressure water system for faster cleaning of gulleys and drains using a hose and hand lance. Water can also be diverted to a front-mounted full-width spray bar or suction nozzle to help remove stubborn road debris.

Powascrub: This wide sweep ground brush pressure device enables the extra scarifaction of compacted debris.

Load de-watering: With increases in waste tipping charges, this option ensures that you only pay for waste volume, not unnecessary water volume.

Water Recirculation: The VT801 sweeper comes with an optional water recirculation system recycles excess water into the suction nozzle, which conserves water, reduces dust emissions and extends on-station time.

Pneumatic mesh shakers: A fast and effective method of clearing damp rubbish and leaves from the suction meshes.

High power Auxiliary engine: Supplied as standard on VT801. With extended service intervals for reduced downtime and greater vehicle availability.

Wanderhose: Rigid, turntable-mounted boom and flexible trunking in excess of 4 metres length.

A comprehensive range of additional options is available. Contact us for more information.
