Maggie and Lizzie from QMS are hard at work

Road marking and specialist surfacing contractor Quality Marking Services Limited (QMS) has taken delivery of two special VT651 sweepers from Johnston, fitted with unique roof mounted loading hatches to allow preloading of dry aggregates at ground level.
The sweepers, mounted on Renault chassis, are designed to install QMS’s Anti-Skid Surface Treatment, QMS HyperGripTM. Two aggregate delivery valves at the rear deliver dry, clean, aggregates in a safe and controlled manner, while a weight display prevents overloading and measures the correct quantity of aggregates utilised on each job, installing High Friction Surface Treatments across the South and South West of the UK.
The new sweepers are known as ‘Maggie’ and ‘Lizzy’ following a naming competition to celebrate the Queen’s 90th Birthday, and join ‘Mary’, another bespoke vehicle used to deliver reflective road markings to motorways and major trunk roads, so far completing over 8 million metres of lines across the UK and Ireland.
Based in Newton Abbot in Devon, QMS supplies road marking, car park marking, high friction surfacing and resin bonded decorative surfacing throughout the UK and Europe.
